About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of mechanical and building services for large-scale market buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Develop and review detailed HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing designs, incorporating sustainability and energy efficiency strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into BIM models, providing accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering to optimize project performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering for commercial or market buildings.
- Strong proficiency in HVAC design, building services, and BIM software (Revit, Navisworks).
- Demonstrated project management skills, including cost control and schedule delivery.
- Knowledge of sustainability standards (BREEAM, Green Star) and energy modelling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
