Lead advanced ML research to design and optimize vehicle trajectory planning systems, leveraging deep learning and reinforcement learning in Python and PyTorch to enhance autonomous driving safety and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement state‑of‑the‑art trajectory generation algorithms using deep learning and reinforcement learning techniques.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate ML models into vehicle control stacks and validate performance in simulation and real‑world tests.
- Drive end‑to‑end research from data collection and preprocessing to model training, hyper‑parameter tuning, and deployment.
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation and continuous improvement.
- Publish findings in internal reports and external conferences, ensuring technical excellence and thought leadership.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field.
- Proven expertise in trajectory planning, motion control, and autonomous vehicle systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Hands‑on experience with reinforcement learning frameworks and simulation environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex research into actionable engineering solutions.
