About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑grade Linux infrastructure across multiple data centers, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- Implement and manage security controls, hardening procedures, and compliance audits in alignment with DoD and Secret clearance requirements.
- Automate configuration, monitoring, and incident response using Ansible, Terraform, and cloud-native services (AWS EC2, S3, IAM).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new applications, perform capacity planning, and optimize resource utilization.
- Lead root‑cause analysis for outages, develop post‑mortem documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Linux system administration experience in mission‑critical environments.
- Proficiency with AWS services, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, DISA STIG) and experience with DoD clearance processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting, scripting (Python, Bash), and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and ability to mentor junior staff.
