Systems Engineer
Lead complex naval systems projects, delivering technical support across Cyber, Electromagnetic and Integrated Communication domains. Drive innovation, maintain legacy platforms, and collaborate closely with defence customers to shape future capabilities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design, integration and validation of naval systems within the Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) and Integrated Communication Systems (ICS) business group.
- Provide expert support for legacy products while steering forward‑looking developments, technology demonstrators and research initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and defence customers to define requirements, resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Drive risk management, cost control and schedule adherence across multiple concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in systems engineering for naval or defence platforms, with a strong background in cyber and electromagnetic domains.
- Proven track record of leading complex technical projects from concept through to delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Familiarity with defence acquisition processes and relevant standards (e.g., NATO, ISO).
