Lead the definition, verification and acceptance of complex submarine systems, driving requirements capture, test strategy and stakeholder alignment using advanced systems engineering practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end requirements engineering for submarine systems, ensuring traceability and compliance with defence standards.
- Design and oversee acceptance test plans, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and validate system performance against specifications.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing and operational stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimise system integration.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and champion best practices in systems engineering.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools and documentation.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in systems engineering within a complex defence or submarine environment.
- Proven track record in requirements management, test strategy development and acceptance testing.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, collaborative setting.
