Software Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end data migration and BI modernization on GCP, moving legacy Tableau dashboards and data warehouses to BigQuery and Looker while designing robust ELT/ETL pipelines with Dataflow and Cloud Composer.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end migration of Tableau dashboards and data sources to BigQuery and Looker, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Design, build, and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and BigQuery to support modern analytics workloads.
- Map legacy Tableau calculations and visualizations to Looker, creating equivalent LookML models and dashboards.
- Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to define data governance, security, and compliance requirements on GCP.
- Monitor and troubleshoot migration pipelines, providing performance tuning and cost‑optimization recommendations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data migration and BI modernization, with a strong focus on GCP services.
- Proficiency in BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.
- Hands‑on experience designing ELT/ETL pipelines and managing data pipelines at scale.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of delivering complex migrations on time.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with data, engineering, and product teams.
