Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive data protection strategy across Microsoft M365, driving DLP initiatives, data classification, and security controls to safeguard sensitive information at rest and in motion.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end data protection solutions within the Microsoft M365 ecosystem, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and refine data classification frameworks, mapping sensitive data types to appropriate protection controls.
- Lead DLP strategy, including policy creation, monitoring, and incident response for data in motion and at rest.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (IT, legal, compliance) to align security controls with business objectives.
- Evaluate and integrate third‑party security tools, providing guidance on vendor selection and deployment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on data protection and DLP.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 security features (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, Azure AD Conditional Access).
- Proven track record designing and scaling data protection programs in large enterprises.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus.
