Security Engineer
Lead DevSecOps engineering for Army cloud platforms, driving modernization, security, and observability across Linux/Windows environments using Kubernetes and automation tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable Kubernetes clusters for Army enterprise applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions to accelerate delivery while enforcing security best practices.
- Integrate observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces) to provide real‑time insight into platform health and performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to modernize legacy workloads onto cloud‑native infrastructure.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and remediation across Linux and Windows hosts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevSecOps or infrastructure engineering experience in a defense or regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, and container security tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell and experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Hands‑on experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry).
- Deep understanding of Windows and Linux system hardening, network security, and compliance frameworks (NIST, DISA STIG).
