PRINCIPAL DATA SCIENTIST, SMAI OI

We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead our data science efforts in SMAI OI. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models to drive business growth and innovation. The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization, with experience in working with large datasets and developing scalable solutions. Proficiency in Python and AWS is required, with experience in cloud-based data platforms a plus.

The Principal Data Scientist will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing machine learning models to drive business growth and innovation
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions
• Leading data science efforts and mentoring junior data scientists
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
• Collaborating with stakeholders to communicate data insights and recommendations

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-impact data science projects and a passion for driving business growth through data-driven insights.

Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related field
• Strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization
• Proficiency in Python and AWS
• Experience in cloud-based data platforms a plus
