About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate machine learning pipelines that transform raw optical interference signals into continuous, clinically actionable measurements of cerebral blood flow, intracranial pressure, and autoregulation.
- Collaborate with photonics, physiology, and clinical teams to integrate domain knowledge into algorithmic solutions and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
- Lead experimentation, model selection, and performance benchmarking, employing advanced techniques such as deep learning, time‑series analysis, and Bayesian inference.
- Mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate findings to cross‑functional stakeholders, translating complex technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for product and clinical teams.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field with strong emphasis on machine learning and signal processing.
- 5+ years of experience leading data science projects in a high‑impact, research‑driven environment.
- Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), and statistical modeling.
- Experience with time‑series, spectral analysis, and handling large, multi‑modal biomedical datasets.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of publishing or presenting research in peer‑reviewed venues.
