Lead the design and implementation of a unified, AI‑ready data foundation, building a virtualized data lake, common data layer, and data contract framework using Python, SQL, and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop a virtualized data lake and common data layer that supports AI and analytics workloads.
- Define and enforce data contract frameworks to ensure data quality, governance, and interoperability across teams.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in designing scalable ETL pipelines and data models using Python, SQL, and AWS services.
- Drive best practices in data architecture, performance tuning, and security compliance.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on large‑scale data lake architectures.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lake Formation).
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL design, and data governance principles.
- Experience leading technical teams and influencing enterprise data strategy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
