Lead the design and implementation of advanced endpoint defense, Zero Trust Architecture, and overall cybersecurity strategy, guiding technical teams and ensuring robust protection across enterprise systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain advanced endpoint detection and response solutions across state-wide networks.
- Design and enforce Zero Trust Architecture principles, including micro‑segmentation, identity‑centric access controls, and continuous verification.
- Develop and oversee cloud security frameworks for hybrid environments, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead incident response activities, conduct forensic analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts for high‑severity security events.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to security engineers, establishing best practices and standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, with proven expertise in endpoint protection and Zero Trust models.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated security services.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM tools, threat hunting, and incident response processes.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
