Security Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions, driving architecture, threat modeling, and risk assessment across AWS and Azure environments to protect national security assets.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee secure cloud deployments for high‑impact government programs, ensuring compliance with federal security standards.
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Develop and maintain security policies, incident response plans, and continuous monitoring strategies.
- Mentor and guide technical staff on secure design principles and emerging cloud security technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud security architecture, with deep expertise in AWS and Azure.
- Proven track record designing secure, scalable solutions for mission‑critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment frameworks, and compliance regulations (FedRAMP, NIST, DoD).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are highly desirable.
