About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and structural analysis of large‑scale transmission and distribution infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions into broader project plans, leveraging BIM for coordination and clash detection.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering professional growth and maintaining high quality deliverables.
- Oversee project documentation, including design reports, calculations, and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to present technical solutions, address concerns, and secure approvals.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in civil/structural engineering within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE) and BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks).
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, health & safety, and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Professional Engineer registration (PE) or equivalent is highly desirable.
