Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and verification of Built‑In Test solutions for advanced aerospace systems, applying systems engineering principles, C++/Python development, and model‑based techniques in a Linux environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement BIT architecture and test strategies for complex aerospace platforms.
- Develop and maintain C++ and Python software components that automate health monitoring and fault detection.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to capture requirements, design interfaces, and generate test cases.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, software, test, and integration) to ensure seamless BIT integration.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement of BIT processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in Built‑In Test concepts, fault detection, isolation, and recovery (FDIR) for aerospace or defense systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, and hands‑on experience with Linux development environments.
- Experience using MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, IBM Rational DOORS) to manage requirements and generate verification artifacts.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
