Lead the modernization of a large, business‑critical .NET/Azure platform, transforming a monolithic system into a modular, scalable, and resilient architecture using incremental change and best‑practice DevOps practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the existing monolithic .NET/Azure architecture, mapping dependencies, service boundaries, and data flows to identify modernization opportunities.
- Design and implement a modular, microservices‑based solution that preserves business continuity while enabling incremental upgrades.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders (CTO/CIO) to align technical strategy with business goals and secure executive buy‑in.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in adopting Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and security across the new architecture, applying Azure best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in .NET development and Azure cloud architecture.
- Proven track record of modernizing legacy systems to microservices on Azure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services (App Service, AKS, Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.) and DevOps tooling.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Hands‑on experience with C#, .NET Core, and containerization technologies.
