Principal AI/ML Engineer - Validation Strategy & Test Architecture - Micron Technology, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement AI/ML models to enhance firmware and hardware validation workflows, reducing test cycles and increasing defect detection rates.
• Design and maintain scalable test frameworks and automation pipelines that integrate seamlessly with existing CI/CD and hardware testbeds.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, firmware, QA) to define validation requirements, metrics, and success criteria for new products.
• Lead the development of data pipelines, feature engineering, and model training processes to support real‑time validation insights.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering best practices in AI/ML, test automation, and software engineering.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on AI/ML and test automation.
• Proficiency in Python, machine learning libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and experience building production‑grade ML pipelines.
• Deep understanding of firmware and hardware validation processes, including test architecture design and execution.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading technical initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
