Senior technical leader driving AI workflow modernization for clinical operations, designing scalable pipelines, integrating machine learning models, and collaborating with care, pharmacy, and utilization teams to improve healthcare delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end AI/ML pipelines that support clinical decision‑making, care management, pharmacy, and utilization workflows.
- Lead the migration of legacy models to cloud‑native, containerized environments using Kubernetes and AWS services.
- Design, develop, and maintain orchestration solutions with Apache Airflow, ensuring reproducibility, monitoring, and automated governance.
- Partner with data scientists, clinicians, and policy teams to translate research prototypes into production‑ready services.
- Establish best practices for model versioning, testing, and CI/CD integration using tools such as MLflow and GitOps.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML workflow development in a healthcare or regulated environment.
- Deep expertise in Python and major ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience deploying models at scale.
- Proven track record building data pipelines and orchestration using Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, and AWS (SageMaker, EKS, Lambda).
- Strong understanding of clinical data standards, privacy regulations (HIPAA), and ability to work closely with medical and operational stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams and driving strategic AI initiatives.
