Systems Engineer
Design and integrate power and integrated circuit lighting systems for naval vessels, ensuring compliance with military standards and supporting shipboard electrical architecture using advanced analysis tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate power distribution and lighting system designs for new and existing naval platforms.
- Perform load analysis, fault studies, and performance simulations using MATLAB and related tools.
- Generate detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings in compliance with MIL‑STD and industry standards.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate lighting subsystems into overall shipboard power architecture.
- Support prototype testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions during sea trials and post‑delivery sustainment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in power systems and lighting design for marine or aerospace applications.
- Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) and analysis tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Knowledge of MIL‑STD electrical standards, shipboard safety regulations, and integration processes.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to travel 25‑50% of the time for site visits and testing.
