About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate high‑fidelity models of inverter‑based resources (IBRs) and their interaction with transmission and distribution networks.
- Design and implement control strategies for grid‑forming and grid‑following inverters, including stability and fault‑ride‑through studies.
- Conduct simulation campaigns using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and other industry tools to assess performance under diverse operating conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate energy storage, renewable generation, and advanced grid services into research prototypes.
- Publish technical findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present results at conferences and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant research experience.
- Proficiency in power system analysis, inverter control, and grid integration concepts.
- Strong hands‑on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Python for modeling and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and test control algorithms for IBRs, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop or real‑time simulation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and collaborative work.
