Software Engineer
Lead high‑voltage power system projects across the UKIMEA region, driving design, delivery and technical excellence for HV, EHV and UHV solutions using cutting‑edge engineering practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical design and delivery of HV, EHV and UHV power system projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering collaboration between electrical, civil and project management disciplines.
- Develop and review detailed engineering documentation, including system layouts, calculations and risk assessments.
- Drive innovation in power system solutions, evaluating new technologies and methodologies to enhance performance and reliability.
- Manage project budgets, schedules and resource allocation, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in high‑voltage power system design and project leadership.
- Strong knowledge of HV, EHV and UHV technologies, standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects with cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant engineering qualification and professional registration preferred.
