Design and analyze future‑grid solutions as a Power Systems Engineer III, leading EMT modeling, transient and harmonic studies, and mentoring staff while delivering expert guidance to clients.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive EMT and power system studies, including temporary and switching overvoltage, insulation coordination, harmonic, flicker, and transient recovery voltage analyses.
- Develop and maintain detailed grid models using industry‑standard simulation tools such as PSS/E, ETAP, or DIgSILENT.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering skill development and best‑practice methodologies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align study outcomes with the company’s growth strategy and client requirements.
- Prepare clear technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field with extensive experience in EMT modeling and power system analysis.
- Proficiency with grid simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT) and strong analytical skills for transient and harmonic studies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical results into actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting utility or industrial clients in high‑voltage system design is preferred.
