About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with rural utility members to assess current power infrastructure and define smart‑grid technology roadmaps.
- Design and evaluate SCADA and GIS solutions that improve grid reliability, visibility, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and deliver technical workshops, training sessions, and documentation to educate member staff on emerging smart‑grid standards and best practices.
- Analyze power system data using Python scripts and analytics tools to identify optimization opportunities and support renewable energy integration.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely delivery of advisory services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field with 5+ years of experience in utility‑scale power system design or smart‑grid projects.
- Proficiency with SCADA platforms, GIS mapping tools, and scripting languages such as Python for data analysis.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy integration, demand response, and modern grid automation technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and cross‑functional team coordination.
