Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed cost models for power electronic components and subsystems, ensuring alignment with design specifications and market trends.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising performance or reliability.
- Analyze supplier quotes, perform cost-benefit analyses, and negotiate pricing to secure favorable terms.
- Utilize CAD and simulation tools to evaluate design changes and their impact on cost, weight, and thermal performance.
- Prepare comprehensive cost reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key drivers and risk factors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cost engineering or cost analysis within the power electronics industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, MATLAB).
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and data visualization capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
