Engineering Manager
Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering power distribution and electronics solutions for critical DOE projects, overseeing design, testing, and compliance while managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder coordination.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the design, analysis, and implementation of power distribution and electronic control systems for nuclear security and environmental remediation projects.
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress and adjust resources to meet milestones and client expectations.
- Ensure all designs comply with DOE safety, reliability, and regulatory standards, conducting risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional groups, vendors, and clients to integrate power and electronics solutions into larger system architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience in power systems and electronics design.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, MATLAB/Simulink, and industry standards (IEEE, NEC, DOE).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and control project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
