Data Analyst
Analyze clinical and operational data to identify improvement opportunities, build dashboards, and support population health initiatives using SQL, Python, and Tableau within a large healthcare system.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform clinical and operational data from multiple source systems to support population health projects.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that visualize key performance indicators for clinicians and administrators.
- Perform statistical and trend analyses to uncover gaps in care, utilization patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including clinicians, IT, and finance—to define analytic requirements and translate business questions into data solutions.
- Document data lineage, analytical methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis within a healthcare or population health setting.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; strong Python skills for statistical analysis and automation.
- Hands‑on experience building visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Understanding of clinical data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and familiarity with healthcare quality metrics.
