Policy Communications Manager, Public Affairs

As a Policy Communications Manager, you will develop and implement effective communication strategies to advance Capital One's policy objectives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop targeted messaging to engage key audiences. This role requires a strong understanding of public policy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in policy development, communication strategy, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong network of contacts in government and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies to advance policy objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and advocacy groups
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop targeted messaging
• Monitor and analyze policy developments and regulatory changes
• Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in policy development, public affairs, or a related field
• Strong understanding of public policy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communication strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
