Software Engineer
Lead the strategy, design, and operation of the enterprise Databricks platform, driving data engineering, analytics, and AI initiatives while ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business goals.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the roadmap for the enterprise Databricks platform, aligning it with corporate data strategy and business objectives.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable Spark clusters on cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS), ensuring high performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to enable self‑service analytics, machine‑learning pipelines, and data governance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated testing to guarantee platform reliability and rapid feature delivery.
- Establish security, compliance, and access‑control policies, conducting regular audits and performance tuning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing large‑scale data platforms, preferably with Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud services (Azure or AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Proven track record of implementing CI/CD, monitoring, and governance frameworks in a production environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
