Database Administrator
Lead platform operations and support for ETL and database environments, driving automation, CI/CD pipelines, and change management on AWS to ensure high availability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust ETL pipelines and database solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Lead the development and execution of CI/CD workflows for database schema changes, data transformations, and deployment automation.
- Oversee change management processes, including impact analysis, approval workflows, and rollback procedures for production environments.
- Collaborate with data engineering, DevOps, and security teams to enforce best practices, performance tuning, and compliance standards.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and provide proactive support to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and ETL development, preferably in cloud environments.
- Proficiency with AWS services such as RDS, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Deep understanding of change management frameworks and database version control.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
