About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that enable researchers to submit and manage jobs on high‑performance computing systems.
- Implement cloud‑native solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to orchestrate workflow automation and resource provisioning.
- Integrate AI/ML tools and libraries to enhance data processing pipelines within scientific applications.
- Collaborate with scientists and system administrators to translate research requirements into scalable software components.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of API services and underlying HPC infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python and building production‑grade REST APIs.
- Proficiency in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for deploying and managing services.
- Familiarity with high‑performance computing environments and job‑scheduler systems.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote setting and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
