Devops Engineer
Platform Engineer focused on runtime infrastructure for a critical national payment system, building and operating Kubernetes/OpenShift environments that enable secure, reliable deployment of services across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters that support high‑availability, secure runtime environments for RTGS services.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to define and enforce best practices for container image creation, deployment pipelines, and runtime security.
- Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using IaC and CI/CD tools, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
- Diagnose and resolve performance, networking, and security incidents in production, applying root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and incident playbooks for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps, with hands‑on work on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of container runtimes, networking, storage, and security best practices.
- Proficiency with Linux system administration, scripting (Bash, Python), and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a high‑stakes, regulated environment.
