Lead the architecture and deployment of a scalable API platform, leveraging Python, Node.js, and AWS to support a WebRTC‑based product. Drive automation, containerization, and production readiness for a stealth startup.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a robust, API‑first platform that exposes core services to external clients.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code on AWS.
- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to integrate WebRTC functionality and ensure low‑latency, high‑availability performance.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and automated scaling strategies to support production workloads.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in code quality, security, and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production‑grade APIs with Python and Node.js.
- Strong background in AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
- Hands‑on experience with WebRTC, real‑time media pipelines, and related protocols.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for building scalable, maintainable systems.
