Opportunity Overview

The Physical AI Field Applications Engineer is a sales-focused, customer-facing technical role embedded within Teradyne ’s Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) businesses. You will serve as the primary technical resource for the Bay Area sales team, partnering directly with Account Managers to win and expand strategic accounts by demonstrating deep expertise in Physical AI, robotics software stacks, and AI-powered automation.

This is not a research or product development role. Success is defined by your ability to drive customer adoption, accelerate sales cycles, and ensure customers and reseller partners successfully deploy UR/MiR platforms. You will be the trusted technical advisor who bridges the gap between complex AI and robotics technology and real-world customer value.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Pre-Sales Technical Support

• Partner with Account Managers to qualify opportunities and drive sales through technical expertise.
• Lead customer discovery and translate needs into UR/MiR solutions.
• Deliver demos, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept experiences.
• Build ROI analyses, proposals, and solution recommendations.
• Answer technical questions in RFIs/RFPs and support proposals.
• Keep sales and leadership informed on progress, risks, and feedback.

Customer Technical Engagement & Adoption

• Guide customers and partners from design reviews to pilots and scal
