Contract PHP developer focused on building and optimizing web applications using Laravel, MySQL, and REST APIs, with experience in version control, cloud deployment on GCP, and containerized CI/CD pipelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP web applications using Laravel or CodeIgniter frameworks.
- Write efficient, secure MySQL queries and optimize database schemas for performance.
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs to integrate external services.
- Manage source code with Git and collaborate through pull‑requests and code reviews.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform server‑side configuration and basic Linux/Apache/Nginx administration.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Hands‑on experience with Laravel (or CodeIgniter) and REST API development.
- Solid understanding of Git version control and cloud deployment concepts, preferably GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools, and Linux server environments.
- Excellent debugging, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
