ML Engineer
Lead the design and optimization of photonic systems using machine learning to enhance high‑speed datacom performance, leveraging expertise in coherent optical transmission and advanced test‑and‑measurement techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, model, and validate photonic components for high‑speed coherent optical networks.
- Develop and apply machine learning algorithms to optimize signal integrity and system performance.
- Create and maintain automated test and measurement scripts for rapid prototyping and validation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate photonic solutions into end‑to‑end data‑center architectures.
- Document design decisions, performance results, and best practices for future reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in high‑speed datacom environments and 5 years in digital coherent optical transmission.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, MATLAB, or similar) for test automation.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex photonic design challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
