About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting‑edge research on natural language understanding and dialog systems within a DFG‑funded project.
- Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models using Python and PyTorch.
- Analyze large linguistic datasets, perform feature engineering, and develop statistical models.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, present findings at conferences, and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Contribute to grant writing, project reporting, and the dissemination of research outcomes.
Requirements
- PhD candidate or recent PhD in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field with strong NLP background.
- Proven experience in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling for language tasks.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and data analysis libraries (NumPy, pandas).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
