Data Analyst
Mid‑level analyst responsible for designing, maintaining, and reporting performance dashboards, conducting statistical analysis, and providing data‑driven insights to support county operations using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance performance dashboards and scorecards for county programs using Tableau and Power BI.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources (SQL Server, APIs, spreadsheets) to create reliable data sets for analysis.
- Perform statistical analyses and predictive modeling to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to define key performance indicators and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Document data definitions, methodology, and reporting processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; 2+ years of professional data analysis experience.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; strong Python skills for data cleaning, analysis, and automation.
- Hands‑on experience building interactive visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of statistical techniques, performance measurement, and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
