Payroll Data Analytics Specialist responsible for extracting, cleaning, and analyzing payroll data to drive insights and process improvements using SQL, Python, Power BI, and advanced Excel techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, and load payroll data from multiple source systems into a centralized data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support payroll reporting and analytics.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to track key payroll metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with finance, HR, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data‑driven solutions to optimize payroll operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in payroll data analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI for data manipulation and visualization.
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and VBA.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and compliance regulations is a plus.
