Systems Engineer
Provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory for a national reconnaissance payload program, leading requirements analysis, integration, and verification while supporting DoD acquisition and modeling activities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering efforts for payload development, including concept of operations, architecture, and interface definition.
- Coordinate payload integration, test planning, and verification activities with cross‑functional teams and NRO stakeholders.
- Develop and manage requirements baselines, traceability matrices, and configuration control throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Perform modeling and simulation to assess performance, risk, and trade‑off analyses for payload subsystems.
- Provide technical advisory support, brief status reports, and ensure compliance with DoD acquisition policies and security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering with 5+ years of payload or aerospace systems experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering processes, requirements management, and integration testing.
- Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, STK) and configuration management systems.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition frameworks, NRO standards, and security clearance requirements (TS/SCI w/Polygraph preferred).
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
