Software Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of payer integration solutions for a new healthcare clearinghouse, leveraging Python, Node.js, AWS, and X12 EDI to ensure HIPAA-compliant data exchange with insurance payers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust, scalable integration pipelines for X12 EDI transactions (claims, eligibility, authorizations, remittances) using Python and Node.js.
- Deploy and maintain services on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to define integration requirements and validate data flows.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and automated testing to guarantee data integrity and rapid issue resolution.
- Document integration specifications, API contracts, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building enterprise-grade integration solutions in healthcare or related regulated industries.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, with experience in asynchronous processing and microservices.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
- Deep understanding of X12 EDI standards and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication abilities.
