About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead performance engineering across multiple aerospace and defense programs, translating mission requirements into measurable technical objectives.
- Develop and manage Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) to track system health throughout the lifecycle.
- Perform model‑based performance analysis using MATLAB/Simulink and Python to predict, validate, and optimize system behavior.
- Create and maintain common performance architectures and reference models that support cross‑program consistency.
- Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and test teams to integrate performance data and reduce technical risk.
- Provide technical briefings and documentation for senior leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with security clearance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in performance engineering, model‑based analysis, and KPP/TMP management in defense or aerospace projects.
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and systems engineering tools (e.g., SysML, DOORS).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (SAP eligibility required).
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
