Seasoned Construction Manager acting as Owner’s Representative for large‑scale data center projects, overseeing schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with engineering, contractors, and critical‑facility stakeholders.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end construction of mission‑critical data center facilities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust detailed project schedules and budgets, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the primary Owner’s Representative, coordinating communication between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and performance reviews to guarantee quality workmanship and timely delivery.
- Manage procurement, change orders, and contract administration, ensuring accurate documentation and cost control.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of construction management experience on large‑scale, mission‑critical projects, preferably data centers or similar facilities.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee budgets of $10M+ and schedules spanning 12–36 months.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure (raised floors, cooling, power redundancy) and relevant codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
