Software Engineer
Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of outdoor plant infrastructure, ensuring reliable power and data connectivity for mission‑critical systems using fiber optics, cable systems, and advanced asset management tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain outdoor plant infrastructure for UPS, BESS, and cooling systems across telecom, renewable energy, and data center sites.
- Lead field teams in fiber optic cable routing, splice work, and conduit installation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, budgets, and technical specifications for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Perform troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and preventive maintenance on outdoor plant assets to minimize downtime.
- Document all work in asset management systems, providing accurate status reports and recommendations for upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in outdoor plant installation and maintenance, with a strong background in fiber optics and cable systems.
- Proficiency with network design tools, asset management software, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in field environments.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed.
