Data Engineer
Senior Oracle BDA Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining large‑scale data platforms using Oracle Big Data Appliance, Hadoop ecosystems, and Oracle Cloud services to deliver high‑performance analytics solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and administer Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) environments for enterprise data workloads.
- Install, patch, upgrade, and monitor BDA clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Integrate BDA with Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) and Oracle Cloud services (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Data Warehouse).
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data ingestion workflows using Java, Python, or Scala.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to optimize data models and query performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Big Data Appliance and Hadoop technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and data integration patterns.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of big data platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid WFO environment.
