Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain optical network architectures for AWS data centers, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, hardware, security, operations) to integrate optical solutions into the broader AWS infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation tools to streamline network provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze network performance data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations to meet service level objectives.
- Participate in capacity planning, capacity forecasting, and supply chain coordination for optical equipment procurement.
Requirements
- Strong background in optical networking technologies (e.g., DWDM, CWDM, Ethernet over fiber).
- Experience designing and deploying large‑scale network infrastructures in a cloud or data‑center environment.
- Proficiency in Python and network automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Netmiko).
- Solid understanding of AWS services and data‑center operations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
