Software Engineer
Optical Engineer responsible for developing Python‑based test infrastructure, validating transceiver modules, and debugging optical hardware failures to certify new platforms for mass production.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Python test frameworks that automate qualification of optical communication modules.
- Develop and execute test plans to identify, debug, and remediate hardware failure modes in transceiver designs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional hardware and software teams to integrate test software into the production release flow.
- Analyze signal integrity and optical performance data to ensure compliance with reliability and performance targets.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for sustained operation of qualified platforms throughout their lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building test automation for hardware systems.
- Deep understanding of optical transceiver technology, including fiber optics, modulators, and photonic components.
- Hands‑on experience with hardware debugging, signal integrity analysis, and laboratory test equipment.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting for test infrastructure deployment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced engineering team.
