About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Montney Production Manager in daily operations, including well performance tracking and production reporting.
- Monitor and analyze SCADA data to identify opportunities for process improvement and equipment optimization.
- Support the development and implementation of safety procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation, shift logs, and performance dashboards using Excel and data‑analysis tools.
- Collaborate with field technicians and senior engineers to troubleshoot operational issues and execute corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of oil and gas production processes, especially Montney and Dunvegan formations.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python) and familiarity with SCADA or real‑time monitoring systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in a high‑performance team environment.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and reporting.
