About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, and validate large datasets from multiple health information systems related to opioid use and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using Python, R, and SQL to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality data for analysis.
- Perform statistical modeling and epidemiological analyses to identify trends, risk factors, and intervention impacts.
- Generate clear visualizations, dashboards, and technical reports for stakeholders and policy makers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, epidemiologists, and program managers, to translate data insights into actionable public‑health strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Biological Sciences, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in health data abstraction and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization.
- Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and building data extracts.
- Demonstrated experience with epidemiological methods and statistical modeling (e.g., regression, time‑series analysis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non‑technical audiences.
