Software Engineer
Design, implement, and maintain operational technology solutions for manufacturing environments, leveraging PLCs, SCADA, Python automation, and cybersecurity best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC and SCADA solutions for production lines and laboratory equipment.
- Develop Python scripts and automation workflows to improve data acquisition, device integration, and process efficiency.
- Implement and maintain secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection for OT environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate Industrial IoT sensors and edge devices into existing systems.
- Perform root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of OT hardware and software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of OT experience.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware).
- Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA) and OT cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team.
