About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable storage architectures for mission‑critical applications across Linux and Windows environments.
- Configure and maintain SAN, NAS, and cloud‑based storage solutions, optimizing performance and capacity utilization.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies, ensuring compliance with federal data security standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot storage‑related incidents and provide proactive capacity planning.
- Document storage configurations, procedures, and best practices for audit and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise storage solutions in mixed OS environments.
- Proficiency with Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server storage technologies.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and backup tools (Veeam, Commvault).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a federal IT environment.
